Germany midfielder out for Mexico clash
Germany boss Nagelsmann will have to plan without the Bayern midfielder against Mexico.
Joshua Kimmich will not feature for Germany against Mexico on Tuesday due to flu symptoms. Prior to their match against the USMNT, which they ended up winning 3-1, the Bayern Munich player showed signs of fever and flu that caused him to miss a couple of training sessions ahead of the match against Gregg Berhalter’s side, although he remained involved in training ahead of the game against Mexico.
Kimmich’s situation did not improve and on Saturday morning when he woke up with chills, Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann decided to send him home to recover. “It was no use having him in the hotel,” the coach told RTL, while pointing out that it is not something serious.
When is Mexico vs Germany?
