Germany-Peru preview:

Germany:

Die Mannschaft boss Hansi Flick has called up Augsburg striker Mergim Berisha as one of five debutants to his squad for Germany’s March friendlies against Peru and Belgium.

It’s the first time Berisha has been named in a senior Germany squad and follows an excellent season in front of goal for Augsburg, whom the striker joined on loan in the summer from Fenerbahçe.

There are also maiden call-ups for Felix Nmecha, Joshua Vagnoman, Marius Wolf and Kevin Schade with a mini-reconstruction of sorts being carried out as the side prepare to host the continent at Euro 2024.

Peru:

Juan Reynoso takes his Peru side to Europe for two high profile friendly games during the March FIFA window as they face Germany in Mainz before heading to Madrid where they take on 2022 World Cup semi-finalists Morocco with the game against the ‘Lions of the Atlas’ set to be staged at Atletico Madrid’s Civitas Metropolitano Stadium.

La Bicolor are looking ahead to qualification for the 2026 World Cup after CONMEBOL confirmed the fixtures for the South American campaign where six teams from the ten participants will automatically qualify for the first World Cup set to be staged with 48 teams and across three nations (Canada/Mexico and the USA).

Germany-Peru: prediction

A new-look Germany side will offer the South American side a stern test and will have too much to offer for La Bicolor.

Germany 3-0 Peru
