Gonzalo Higuaín is rolling back the years in the last games for Inter Miami and has become a goal scoring machine. The Argentine international has scored four goals in the last three games and helped the David Beckham-owned team rescue a point against Montréal on Saturday in the 2-2 draw.

Higuaín tallies eight goals and one assists in 18 appearances so far this season and is helping Inter Miami make a late push to secure a spot in the playoffs this campaign. They sit in ninth place in the Eastern Conference with 30 points and there are 11 games of the regular season.

Inter Miami are moving closer to their goal

“I think what you’ve seen tonight is everything that we’re trying to build at this fútbol club. The players I thought performed a miracle tonight in terms of their effort, their spirit, and their togetherness,” said head coach Phil Neville during the post-game press conference.

Gonzalo Higuaín is tied with Leonardo Campana for the most goals scored so far this season for Inter Miami and they are helping the team move closer to the 2022 MLS Cup playoffs. Next up for the David Beckham-owned team is New York City and that game will be played on 13 August at DRV PNK stadium.
