Bayern Munich have already qualified for the Champions League round of 16 and travel to Camp Nou on Wednesday with the sole objective over making sure they claim a spot in the knockout stages as Group C winners. The Bundesliga champions have no intention of taking it easy on Barça, which was made clear by Bayern midfielder Leon Goretzka, who didn’t hold back in a message aimed at former teammate Robert Lewandowski.

Lewy was spoiled at Bayern by the fact that we always reached the round of 16 or went further. But that’s no longer the case,” said the German international when speaking of the Polish striker, who will face his former club for the second time. Goretzka is desperate to win at Camp Nou and send Barça to the Europa League once again.

“When you face Barcelona at Camp Nou, it doesn’t matter if it’s a friendly match or a Champions League final. It’s always an amazing game, we really can’t wait for it. And we’re obviously going to do everything we can to win,” underlined Goretzka.

Bayern, however, will make the trip to Catalonia without some important players, not least captain and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, who is suffering from a shoulder issue.
