Amid speculation regarding Christian Pulisic’s future due to several factors - his knee injury and João Félix’s arrival, Chelsea manager Graham Potter spoke again about the USMNT player, who will be out of action for at least two months.

Potter was asked about Pulisic in Friday’s press conference. The player he has been linked to a possible departure from the club to seek more playing time, but the coach made it clear that Pulisic will not be leaving and such an option has never been in consideration on the part of the club.

“No chance,” the Chelsea boss told reporters. “There’s never been any consideration about that anyway but he’s a couple of months out. He’s disappointed, optimistic he can come back quicker than the two months, so it’s at that stage where it’s fingers crossed for his rehab”.

Chelsea keen to end their crisis

Chelsea are not in a good moment - even the big name reinforcements who arrived in this winter market have been unable to help the Blues out of their slump. The team currently sits tenth in the Premier League table with just one win in the last nine league games. On Sunday, they hope their fortunes will chance when they host Crystal Palace - a team that Potter has never beaten during his time as a coach.

Out of the running in the Premier League, Chelsea are pinning all of their hopes on the Champions League, the only competition in which they remain alive. They will face Borussia Dortmund in the Round of 16.
