Guillermo Ochoa and Esteban Andrada the best goalkeepers in Liga MX
After a poor start to the tournament for both players, they have quickly turned the page and so far they have kept five clean sheets each so far this season.
Club América and Monterrey had a complicated start of the campaign, but now they are fighting for a playoff spot with four games left in the regular season. The capital-based team parted ways with Santiago Solari after eight games and appointed Fernando Ortíz as the interim head coach for the remainder of the season.
The Mexican coach has taken América to a playoff position with four games left of the regular season and the team has improved as a whole. One of the biggest turnarounds is goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa who has kept five clean sheets in 13 games and last weekend he celebrated his 400th appearance with the Eagles.
Esteban Andrada
Another team that had a brief crisis at the beginning of the campaign was Monterrrey and the bosses decided to part ways with Javier Aguirre. Rayados quickly appointed Víctor Manuel Vucetich and the Mexican manager signed a four-year deal that is worth $1.8 million per campaign.
Monterrey has also shown improvement and they are making an impressive playoff run with five games left in the regular season. A part of the success in the last few games has been the performances of goalkeeper Esteban Andrada and the Argentine has kept five clean sheets in 12 appearances.
Ochoa and Andrada are the two best goalkeepers in the Liga MX, but they will need to maintain a high level in the remainder of the regular season. Behind both players are Alfredo Talavera, Nahuel Guzmán and Oscar Ustari, all with four clean sheets and one behind Andrada and Ochoa.
