Guillermo Ochoa confirms that top Italian teams have expressed interest in signing him
Ochoa admitted Italy’s top teams are weighing up the possibility of signing the Salernitana goalkeeper.
Guillermo Ochoa’s impressive performances have not gone unnoticed in Italy. The Salernitana goalkeeper has turned out to be one of the stars of his current club and top Serie A teams have now put the ex-Club América goalkeeper on their agenda.
In a recent press conference, Ochoa himself confirmed that there are teams that have enquired about his services: “There have been approaches but I already have a lot of experience and rumours are sometimes useless. The important thing is what you do on the pitch. The important clubs in Italy already know that I have a community passport”, commented the Mexican.
Ochoa’s contract lasts 6 months
In Milan they would have to go to battle over signing the experienced Mexican National Team shot stopper. Both Inter and AC Milan have Ochoa on their agenda, who can already listen to offers as he only signed for one season with Salernitana.
It should be noted that the goalkeeper who has played in Spain and in France already has an EU passport, which gives him a huge advantage in the transfer market. Most of the time, European teams use up their ‘foreign’ slots in the squad for attacking players, and as a result, Ochoa never had any luck in signing for a top tier club. However, it seems like things have changed.
