Guillermo Ochoa injured in Mexico’s defeat to Honduras
Malagón had to come off the bench after 20 minutes against Honduras.
Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa had to come off in a forced substitution in his country’s match against Honduras on Friday.
In the first leg of the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals between the sides, goalkeeper Luis Malagón came on to replace the Salernitana shot-stopper in Mexico’s 2-0 defeat at the national stadium in Tegucigalpa.
Shoulder injury
Ochoa had an unfortunate collision with an opposition player as he came out to get to the ball, injuring his right shoulder in the process. The medical staff went onto the pitch to offer him treatment and the experienced player later asked the bench if he could come off, before eventually making way for the América goalkeeper in the 22nd minute of the match.
