The Mexican player posted a photo at the Al Dhaid stadium, a team with which he is expected to formalize a move.
After playing in Honduran soccer, Carlos ‘Gullit’ Peña is now looking to a spell in the United Arab Emirates to continue his career, adding a tenth team since he debuted with the Tuzos del Pachuca in 2012 in the Mexican top flight.
Peña eyes UAE move
It was through his Instagram stories that the Mexican player shared a photograph at the stadium of Al Dhaid FC, a team with which he is expected to formalize a deal in the coming days, according to the newspaper El Ten. The Arabian team currently sits eighth in the table of 17 teams.
It should be noted that his last team he played for was Vida from Honduras, where he only lasted three months, featuring in just four games. Before that he was with Antigua in Guatemala, FAS in El Salvador, and his last team in Mexico was Necaxa.
Al Dhaid: one of the new teams
Al Dhaid is a team that plays in Division 1 of the United Arab Emirates and is relatively new to the circuit because it was founded in 1980, unlike clubs in many other countries that are more than a hundred years old.
