Haaland equals Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal scoring record as he hits 100th goal for City
The Norwegian striker bagged the opener for City and now equals the record held by the veteran Portuguese international.
All eyes will be on the titanic Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday as Manchester City take on Arsenal. With Liverpool recording a win on Saturday to top the table, both sides will be anxious to secure the morale boosting win as two of the favourites for the title clash in Manchester. Arsenal came into the game having just conceded one goal all season with the match seeing Erling Haaland to draw level with a record held by Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese striker holds the record of having scored 100 goals for a new club in 105 official games marking that milestone Real Madrid with today’s clash against Arsenal marking the Norwegian’s 105th game with the Citizens and Haaland has now managed 99 goals so far in the Sky Blue shirt with his strike in the 9th minute seeing the striker secure his 100th goal for City.
The 24-year-old failed to find the target in the midweek clash against Inter Milan in the opening game of the new expanded UEFA Champions League and today is looking to outfox the likes of Gabriel Magalhães, William Saliba and David Raya.
