Harry Kane scores from inside his own half in 8-0 win for Bayern
Kane’s goal on Saturday will live long in the memory.
Harry Kane has scored his fair share of wondergoals in his career to date but few are better than the one he netted for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Kane picked the ball up inside his own half, and saw the keeper off his line before hitting a sublime effort to score from an outrageous position on the pitch.
Kane hat-trick
The England forward’s stunner came in the 69th minute of the game against Darmstadt, who Bayern went on to thrash 8-0.
Kane scored a hat-trick on the day, with his first coming in the 51st minute and his third in the 88th minute. Remarkably, the sides were drawing 0-0 at half-time, before Thomas Tuchel’s men turned it on in the second half to win convincingly at home.
The win sees the German giants move onto 23 points after nine games, one point ahead of Bayer Leverkusen, who have a game in hand.
Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen side currently sit on 22 points after a fine start to the season and can reclaim top spot with a win over Freiburg on Sunday.
