Havertz injury forces Arsenal to return to the transfer market
A knee injury to Kai Haverz, still pending a medical report, forces the Gunners to strengthen their attacking line.

Just when it seemed Arsenal had wrapped up an eye-opening summer transfer window—splashing out nearly $270 million—a last-minute setback has forced the Gunners to rethink their plans. According to The Athletic, Kai Havertz is looking at some time on the sidelines due to a knee injury, throwing a wrench into Mikel Arteta’s attacking setup.

No official word on Harvetz injury
The 26-year-old German international was notably absent from Wednesday morning’s open training session at Emirates Stadium, fueling speculation. Early evaluations are underway, but the club has yet to release a formal medical update or timeline for his recovery
With Havertz sidelined and Gabriel Jesus still recovering from an ACL injury, Arsenal suddenly finds itself short on attacking options. Viktor Gyökeres—signed for around $82 million from Sporting CP—and Noni Madueke—acquired for nearly $66 million from Chelsea—were expected to bolster the front line, but depth remains a concern.

Transfer Market Reopened
In response, Arsenal is now actively exploring additional signings before the transfer window closes on September 1. Reports suggest the club may target another forward or a versatile winger to fill the gap left by Havertz’s absence.
The club’s top target, Alexander Isak, is now virtually off the market following a dramatic fallout with Newcastle United. Despite his public push to leave, the Magpies have refused to budge unless their $190 million valuation is met—and with Manchester United swooping in to sign Benjamin Sesko, Arsenal’s shortlist has taken a hit.
