Here’s how much Michael Buffer gets paid for each appearance at a fight or sporting event
The ‘Let’s get ready to rumble’ stadium announcer will be on hand ahead of the final of the 2025 Club World Cup at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey.

Major sporting events such as the MLB World Series, Stanley Cup Finals, NBA Finals, NFL playoff games and even the Indianapolis 500 have all heard the dulcet tones of legendary stadium announcer Michael Buffer precede the events. The Philadelphia native even had his now legendary ‘Let’s get ready to rumble’ trademarked in 1992.
Now, at the age of 80, Buffer is lending his voice to the first ever expanded FIFA Club World Cup and was on hand to announce the teams ahead of the Fluminense-Chelsea and Real Madrid-PSG semi-finals earlier this week.
I’m in my dressing room at MetLife Stadium and I can’t wait to get today’s semifinal game started with “LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!”® between Fluminese FC and @ChelseaFC

Big Buffer earnings
One of the most iconic voices in global sport, Buffer still commands big bucks for regular boxing and wrestling events, and can typically earn between $25,000 and $100,000 per appearance.

For major pay-per-view events and highly anticipated fights, Buffer has been known to earn as much as $1 million for a single appearance and given the depths of the FIFA pockets, one can only speculate that the Philadelphia native will be handsomely reimbursed for his services this week at the Club World Cup.
