How and when can I purchase tickets for the 2026 World Cup in the USA?

The countdown to the 2026 World Cup continues with FIFA issuing an update regarding ticket sales for the tournament, which will consist of several selection phases, the first of which will begin in September.

Through an official statement, FIFA announced that the first phase of random selection for the purchase of World Cup tickets will begin next Wednesday, September 10.

To be eligible for random selection for this first phase, fans must visit FIFA.com/tickets, where they must confirm their interest in purchasing tickets and have a FIFA ID to be eligible to purchase tickets for next year’s World Cup.

With general ticket sales, FIFA will make these tickets available to the public, which are in addition to hospitality packages that include tickets to a select number of matches at a venue of your choice, including MetLife Stadium, where the final will be played.

FIFA will release the tickets in different phases

The governing body of football announced that due to the high demand for tickets for the 2026 World Cup, ticket sales have been planned in different phases and with different purchasing processes for all interested fans.

From September 10th to July 19th, different phases will be enabled, in which fans will be able to purchase tickets, taking advantage of the purchase methods that will be enabled, as well as the types of tickets available for each venue and each of the matches, this in accordance with each of these different phases and the different prices that will be announced.

Once the World Cup draw confirms the groups for the summer tournament, a new phase of ticketing will open, specifying the match schedules, venues, and times, along with the names of the teams that will be playing in the world’s top sporting competition.
