After the arrival of Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets at Inter Miami, as well as the announcement of the agreement with Jordi Alba, one of the most interesting stories throughout the past week has been the possibility of Luis Suárez reuniting with all his former FC Barcelona team-mates this summer.

According to TUDN journalist Nico Bravo, the Uruguayan striker is convinced he wants to join Inter Miami, so right now his relationship with the Gremio executives is ‘broken’ due to his insistence on wanting to leave the club, to play again alongside Messi, Busquets and Alba.

Inter Miami interest

The 36-year-old is aware that Inter Miami have to pay the amount requested by the Brazilian giants, so the only scenario in which Suárez can leave is if he terminates his contract with them to be able to move to the DRV PNK Stadium before 2 August, the day on which the second MLS transfer window closes.

Movement in Fort Lauderdale

On Sunday, Inter Miami announced that they acquired an international position to add a new player to their roster; a move they made by having an agreement with the San José Earthquakes for $150,000 in General Allocation money, something that immediately drew attention due to the short time remaining and all the speculation around Suárez.

Suárez left out of Gremio squad

In the match Gremio played this weekend, Suárez was left out of their squad. In the event that he manages to end his time at Gremio, Suárez’s last match will have been against Bahía in the quarter-finals of the Brazil Cup.
