Club América’s Henry Martín is going through one of the best periods of form of his career. The striker is the top scorer in the Clausura 2023 so far, having netted 10 goals in 11 games in the tournament.
He will without doubt be one of the chief sources of danger to Chivas Guadalajara when América take on their arch rivals in the Clásico Nacional, Mexico’s highest-profile club fixture, on Saturday.

And Martín’s record against Chivas shows that the 30-year-old particularly enjoys playing against the Rebaño Sagrado.
In 16 career appearances against Chivas in the Liga MX, the Mexico international has scored six times. Only Atlético San Luis, who have conceded seven goals scored by Martín, have been given a tougher time by the forward.
Of his haul against Guadalajara, five have come since he joined América at the end of 2017, and one was scored during the three years he spent at Tijuana before signing for the 13-time Mexican champions.
