How many US players have scored for Leeds United?

Brenden Aaronson’s attacking style and creativity has turned him into a fan favorite in his brief time with Leeds United. The United States men’s national team ace made his third Premier League appearance of the campaign and scored his first goal at Elland Road in the 3-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.
The 21-year-old New Jersey native put in a complete performance against Thomas Tuchel’s side with snapping tackles, breaking lines with clever passes and he generally provided a headache for Chelsea’s defenders during 83 minutes. Leeds manager Jesse Marsch deployed his summer signing as a central attacking midfielder, behind lone striker Rodrigo Moreno, and Aaronson thrived in the role.
Aaronson eager for more
Aaronson made a bit of history on Sunday, becoming the first American to score in the Premier League for an American manager. The US international put Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy under pressure and forced the mistake, nicking the ball and tucking in from close range.
“It goes to show people around the world that Americans can play football too,” Aaronson said during a post-game interview with NBC. “We are playing for a Premier League team, getting goals and assists and the coaching side too. There’s more and more talent, it’s a great start and it’s going to get better.”
Marsch’s side continued their unbeaten start to the season and Leeds now have seven points from three games having narrowly avoided the drop last season. “The message was to press them, not stay back. We are going to go after them and that sums up this goal,” Aaronson added.
