How to watch the Champions League in the US/UK: online and on TV
UEFA broadcast partners in national territories have the rights to Champions League games, with several online platforms also showing the action.
The draw for the 2022/23 Champions League took place in Istanbul on 25 August, confirming the fixtures and schedule for the group stage of this year’s edition of Europe’s elite club competition. Reigning champions Real Madrid were handed a fairly kind draw but arch-rivals Barcelona landed what Xavi described as the “toughest Champions League group in 20 years.” The Camp Nou boss was not exaggerating: Barça were drawn in Group C against Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Viktoria Plzen.
There are some attractive groups in this season’s tournament: Group A consists of former European champions Ajax and Liverpool, as well as former UEFA Cup winners Napoli and 1972 Cup Winners’ Cup champions Rangers. Group G pits Manchester City and Borussia Dortmund together, meaning a swift return to his old club for Erling Haaland, while PSG and Juventus will go head-to-head in Group H, which also contains Benfica.
Champions League 2022/23 fixture schedule
The 2022/23 Champions League will feature a tighter calendar this season as the group stage needs to be done and dusted before the World Cup in November. As such, all six games in each group will be squeezed in between 6 September and 2 November, causing a good old-fashioned fixture pile-up for the clubs involved. The draw for the round of 16 will be held on 7 November, with those fixtures to be played between 14 February and 15 March, 2023. The quarter-finals are scheduled for 11-19 April, 2023, and the semis from 9-17 May. The final will be staged at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on 10 June, 2023.
Champions League: international television rights
In the United States, CBS and TUDN hold the broadcast rights for the Champions League while in the UK BT Sport will be showing the games live. Viewers in Canada can watch the action on DAZN and in Mexico TNT have the rights to show live games.

For example, Real Madrid’s opener away at Celtic on 6 September and the game between PSG and Juventus at the Parc des Princes on the same day can be viewed on Paramount+ in the US.
There will also be several online platforms to watch the games on. Last year’s final between Real Madrid and Liverpool was available on SiriusXM FC, ViX, Univision and Paramount+ in addition to the TUDN App and CBS, while in Mexico the game was shown on HBO Max as well as TNT.
