After opening up its SheBelieves Cup campaign with victory over Argentina at the weekend, the United States women’s national team now faces a very familiar foe on matchday two of the round-robin tournament.

In Columbus, Ohio, the USWNT takes on Canada for the 68th time in the teams’ history. The Canucks are the Stars and Stripes’ most frequent opponent.

Seven-time winners of the SheBelieves Cup, which it has hosted annually since 2016, the USWNT is seeking to reclaim the crown it lost to Japan in last year’s edition of the event. In Nashville on Sunday, Emma Hayes’ team kicked off with a 2-0 matchday-one win over Argentina, thanks to goals by Lindsey Heaps and Jaedyn Shaw.

The Canadians, meanwhile, are making their fourth appearance at the SheBelieves Cup. Their best performance came in 2024, when they finished as runners-up to the USWNT. In its tournament opener on Sunday, Casey Stoney’s side beat Colombia 4-1 in Tennessee.
