Xavi Hernández gave his squad an incentive ahead of the Spanish Super Cup final against Real Madrid. If they won the title, they would have two days off. And the Blaugrana coach kept his word, announcing during the flight back to Barcelona, that he was releasing the players on Monday and Tuesday, so they will not have to return to training until Wednesday morning.
Since Xavi’s arrival at Camp Nou, he has usually resorted to this type of initiative to motivate his players and keep the level of competitiveness at a maximum.
