‘If I were Lamine Yamal, I’d think twice about playing for Spain again’

Mohamed Sissoko said he felt “embarrassment,” “pain,” and “sadness” while watching the Spain vs. Egypt match after hearing racist chants from the stands that included “Whoever doesn’t jump is Muslim.”
The former Valencia, Levante, Liverpool, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, who represented Mali internationally and is Muslim, said he could not believe what he was hearing on television.

He added that Yamal’s decision to represent Spain makes the situation even more painful.
