Who is Tadeo Allende, the Argentine winger Inter Miami are chasing?

Dreams do come true at Christmas, or at least some of them. AS USA can confirm that Inter Miami have stepped up talks with Spanish club Celta Vigo to secure winger Tadeo Allende on loan for the new campaign.
Inter Miami’s plan to lure Tadeo Allende on loan
A plan has been proposed by the MLS franchise, who will take charge of the player’s wages and secure an option to buy him at the end of the contract. But that has not convinced Celta. The Herons will do everything possible to get Allende to Fort Lauderdale before the end of the year, but the operation is very complicated. What is certain is that the forward will try to leave Vigo in the January window.
For now, “nothing has been finalized” with Inter Miami, and meanwhile a number of other clubs are lining up to sign the winger in the winter window. “Several options are being worked on”, say sources close to the operation.
Which clubs are looking at Tadeo Allende?
As this newspaper had already reported, Granada and Zaragoza, both currently in the Spanish second tier; Palermo, in Italy’s Serie B; and Talleres, runners-up in Argentina, are said to have shown the most interest in the right-sided forward.
The player’s priority is to continue developing his career in Europe but the option of ending up in Fort Lauderdale hasn’t been ruled out - in fact the idea of playing alongside Lionel Messi could end up being a determining factor.
“I dream of meeting Messi. I would give anything to be at least in a practice with him or sit down to drink some mate with him,” the Celta player said in 2023. However, as of today, all options are still on the table.
In Florida, Miami are patiently waiting for a response. The club’s proposal landed in the Balaídos offices a couple of days ago. They are confident that the operation will be unblocked soon, next week at the latest. Inter Miami is firmly committed to the winger, all that is missing is his acceptance.
Allende joined Rafa Benítez’s Celta from Godoy Cruz in January 2024 for $4.7 million, signing a deal to keep him in Vigo until June 2028. In his first six months he made 10 appearances, scoring one goal but he has since dropped down the pecking order under new coach Claudio Giráldez.
This season he has made just one appearance in LaLiga, coming on as a late sub in the Week 12 win over Getafe. He started both of Celta’s Copa del Rey ties, scoring in each - against San Pedro and Salamanca.
