Inter Milan plotting swoop for Real Madrid’s Nico Paz
The Argentine midfielders is one of the new stars in Serie A. His future depends on Madrid, who agreed a buyback option with Como.
Nico Paz has established himself as one of the most promising stars in Serie A. His talent has shone from his first matches with Como and transcends the numbers. The two goals and four assists in his first 15 matches barely reflect his impact on Cesc Fàbregas' team and the flashes of quality he has left. At 20 years of age, his future is promising, and his name is already on the agendas of the big European clubs.
Zanetti spotted on scouting mission
Inter Milan are one of the clubs to have shown the most interest in him. Javier Zanetti attended the match against Roma at the Sinigaglia, and yesterday Simone Inzaghi made his opinion of the young talent clear: “He has quality, a good physique and a great foot. He will have a great career. I don’t know him, but I’ve heard very good things about him on a human level as well.”
The fact that the Inter coach values his character confirms the interest of the Nerazzurri: they want him in their ranks. The Milanese team are looking for talented young players, but his fate will also depend on Real Madrid. The Spanish champions have an option to buy back the Argentine starlet. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, if they don’t exercise it, Inter will not hesitate to buy Nico.
Furthermore, Pio Esposito, who is excelling at Spezia in Serie B, could be the key to seducing Como, although the Lombard club, with an ambitious project, does not plan to easily part with its stars.
Lautaro Martínez is another possible factor. The striker shared a dressing room with Paz in the national team, and the youngster, after his debut against Bolivia, declared: “Playing with people like Messi and Lautaro is crazy.”
Today, both will meet face to face again at San Siro, where Inter-Como will be a new opportunity to cross paths. The soap opera has only just begun, but it promises to be a long one.
