Is it possible to sign players during the Liga MX season?
Top-flight football in Mexico returns on Friday 6 January and clubs still have time to finalise their signings.
The Clausura 2023 is about to start and Liga MX teams are preparing their squads for the first games of the season.
As usual, at this time of the year, transfer rumours are the order of the day, and club signings are also being finalised before the start of the new campaign.
Despite the fact that the league kicks off on Friday 6 January, top-flight clubs in Mexico still have a little less than a month to finalise their signings.
When does the transfer window close?
The transfer window will close on 1 February and Liga MX teams will have until then to register new players.
It’s worth remembering that by 1 February, matchday 5 of the 2023 Clausura Tournament will be about to begin, and therefore there could be players who will make their debuts on matchdays 6 and 7 of the campaign.
