EURO 2024
Is Jesus Navas really older than Lamine Yamal’s dad?
The teenaged Barcelona right-winger becomes the youngest ever scorer at the Euros.
Football, as always, provides the perfect platform for unique occurrences. Take, for instance, Lamine Yamal’s historic feat of being the youngest player to ever grace an international tournament semifinal. It’s moments like these that make football truly special.
However, there’s another fascinating fact about tonight’s match, one related to Jesús Navas, Yamal’s partner on the right wing. Today’s match against England will mark Navas’s 57th game with his country. The Spanish defender debuted with Spain in 2009 against Argentina when Lamine Yamal was only two years old!
How old is Jesús Navas?
Even more incredible is that Jesús Navas is, in fact, older than Lamine Yamal’s dad. The Barcelona’s youngster’s father, Mounir Nasraoui, was born in 1992 and is 32 years old, while Sevilla’s defender was born on November 21, 1985, making him now 38, with a full six years between them.
