América is reportedly on the verge of securing its second signing for the Apertura 2023 campaign, with Julián Quiñones from Atlas being the potential addition. Recent reports indicate that the Azulcremas have reached an agreement with the Colombian player to join their club during the current transfer market.

Quiñones set for América switch

This development comes despite earlier rumours suggesting that the negotiations had collapsed due to disciplinary issues involving Quiñones. However, the latest news indicates a more positive outcome, with signs pointing towards the striker joining América.

While some details, such as his salary, are yet to be finalised, it is expected that an agreement will be signed between the Águilas and Atlas in the coming hours. This agreement would potentially bind Quiñones for several seasons.

So far América has only added one signing in this transfer window, that of Kevin Álvarez. Nevertheless, it is anticipated that a few more reinforcements will also be brought in by the club.

Remember that as well as the start of the Apertura, teams from Liga MX and MLS will be battling it out in the newly structured Leagues Cup.
