MANCHESTER CITY
Is Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City?
Guardiola’s current deal at City runs until 2025.
Pep Guardiola wants to leave Manchester City when his contract ends in 2025, according to The Guardian.
In 2020, the City boss signed a new two-year deal that extended his stay until 2023 before agreeing to a two-year contract extension until 2025 last November.
Guardiola guided City to their first-ever Champions League title on Saturday, beating Inter 1-0 in Istanbul thanks to a Rodri strike in the second half.
Under the Catalan coach, the Manchester outfit have won the Champions League, five Premier League titles, two FA Cups, four League Cups and two Community Shields.
Guardiola’s future
Managing a national team could also be an option for Guardiola after his spell in the Premier League comes to an end.
He has been previously linked with the Brazil job, but could also opt to continue coaching at club level.
If the former Barcelona head coach does decide to leave in 2025, he will have spent nine years in charge at the Etihad Stadium.
