João Félix dreaming of Barcelona move

João Félix’s dream is to play for Barcelona but as things stand, he is training with Atlético Madrid.

João Félix was hoping to leave Atlético Madrid before 10 July as he did not want to return to Madrid to work under Diego Simeone. The Portugal international is also one of the players impacted by the Kylian Mbappé saga. Real Madrid fans are keeping an eye on Paris to see if there is any news regarding the French striker’s future, but João Félix is also keeping a close eye on what happens at PSG.

The Portuguese is one of the players that the Ligue 1 champions have on their agenda to possibly replace the French striker or Neymar. But how much will Atlético ask for? Last winter, the LaLiga club rejected €80 million from Chelsea, and João Félix’s loan move to the English club was finalised for a fee of €11 million.

Despite Chelsea’s poor run last season, he rejected offers from Manchester United and Arsenal even after his entourage advised him to go to the Gunners because his style was better suited to Mikel Arteta’s. In the end, the English adventure did not turn out to be a success. Chelsea slipped down the table and João Félix could not show his full potential.

Dreaming of Barcelona move

Barcelona is his dream move. The Portuguese forward is longing to one day become a Barcelona player. However, the club’s financial problems have prevented him from fulfilling that wish. The closest he came to joining the Catalan club was in the 2022 winter transfer window. Atlético and Barcelona reached an agreement for his transfer, but Atlético finally backed out. For the moment, PSG are testing João Félix’s patience, but we should not rule out a twist in the script that would take João Félix to another European giant.

  • Saudi Arabia's multi-billion dollar breakthrough in the soccer markethas provoked a reaction from Qatar, which is also planning to strengthen its championship with the arrival of major signings from the main European leagues.
  • Villarreal could undergo a total revolution up front. After Nicolas Jackson left for the Premier League, Samu Chukwueze, Yeremi Pino, Baena and Gerard Moreno could leave the Yellow Submarine this summer.
