Jordi Alba completes first training session with Inter Miami
The third star reinforcement of Inter Miami has arrived; Jordi Alba has already trained with the team.
Jordi Alba, Inter Miami’s third major reinforcement of the summer is already training with the team - the club gave details about his first session on social media. The Spanish full-back joins up with with his old Barça team mates Lionel Messi and Sergio Busquets in the Magic City for a brand new adventure in United States soccer.
The 34-year-old is already training in Florida Blue - the club published a handful of images where he is seen being put through his paces by coach Tata Martino out in the sunshine. His arrival was announced a couple of weeks ago but Alba has yet to be formally presented by his new employers - it is believed that the defender will be unveiled at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Tuesday 1 August.
Alba could be handed his debut the following day - Inter Miami face Orlando City in the Leagues Cup Round of 32 on Wednesday evening in the third game to be played at their stadium in the tournament. Orlando City ended the opening round as champions of Group I, after beating the Houston Dynamo in a penalty shootout then seeing off Liga MX outfit, Santos Laguna.
The Clásico del Sol will be the first real test for ‘Tata’ Martino and his new-look team.
