As the team began preparing for the new campaign, rumors surfaced that the talented midfielder, whose market value is estimated at $5.5 million according to Transfermarkt, was on Toluca’s agenda. But so far, there have been no negotiations or any concrete formal tabled for the player, who intends to stay where he is and continue his development at the club.

The South American recently referred to his future during a press conference, when he told reporters: “I am very happy and comfortable at the club. Preparing for this tournament (Clausura 2023) and the Leagues Cups will be a nice challenge. The team is looking in good shape. We are working hard so that we are in the best conditions for when the league starts on 2 July”.

The midfielder joined Santos for the start of the 2022 Apertura and quickly stood out for his excellent performances - contributing goals and assists that led him to establish himself as a first-choice starter. In January of this year, the club decided to exercise to buy the player outright.

During the Liga MX 2023 Clausura, he started the 17 games in the regular phase, which demonstrates his importance to the team. His remarkable contribution is reflected in his five goals and four assists. Since his arrival at the Laguneros, he has accumulated a total of nine goals in 36 games.
