REAL MADRID
Jude Bellingham’s move to Real Madrid progressing
Real Madrid are entering negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over the signing of Jude Bellingham.
The final phase for the signing of Jude Bellingham (19) from Borussia Dortmund will begin in the next few days. After the England international agreed to join Real Madrid, it is now Los Blancos who will take the next step and begin negotiations with Dortmund. This will undoubtedly be the most difficult part of the process. The German club will not go below the €150m that they asked for when Liverpool knocked on their door. Madrid, however, don’t want to raise their offer of €100m plus €20m-€30m in variables. Madrid believe that this stage of negotiations should begin before the end of May.
Manchester City watching on
Bellingham’s decision is to join Madrid, and Liverpool and Manchester City, the two other clubs that were trying to sign him, are already aware of the player’s decision. Despite this, especially at City, they are still waiting for talks between Real Madrid and Dortmund to collapse.
Bellingham has a contract with Dortmund until 2026 and they could force the midfielder to stay another season, and that is where City, who are willing to offer more for the transfer and for the player’s salary, could re-enter the race.
Madrid squad full of talent
That is why it is crucial for Madrid that Bellingham remains firm in his decision to sign for the club. The Englishman is fascinated by the history of the club and wants to be part of it. He is also impressed by the project at the Bernabéu, where there are already young players who, together with him, dominate for years to come. Vinícius (22), Rodrygo (22), Valverde (24), Camavinga (19), and Militao (25) are just some of the names we can mention. And after Bellingham, the cherry on top would be the signing of Kylian Mbappé (24) or Erling Haaland (22).
