Juventus about to deal Inter a new blow
Juve are one step away from acquiring the services of defender Bremer. Torino have accepted their offer of 47 million euros, including variables.
After missing out on Paulo Dybala, through not being able to sell two of three players on their transfer list: Alexis, Dzeko and Correa, Inter Milan now look set to lose another of their summer targets. The Nerazzurri had had an agreement with Gleison Bremer dating back several months - the great revelation of last season in Serie A. Bremer was destined to replace Skriniar, who seemed set to join PSG. But after the central defender’s proposed move to Paris stalled, Juventus appeared on the scene.
De Ligt out, Bremer in
With Matthijs de Ligt having now completed his move to Bayern Munich, Juve were forced to move quick. They outbid their eternal rival in the race for Bremer and it looks like they have succeeded. Inter placed 35 million euros on the table for the Brazilian but Juve came in with a late offer, variables included, of 47 million. Torino accepted the offer and in the next few hours all parties hope to quickly close the deal definitively.
It is the second disappointment in three days for the Interisti, but the opposite for Juve. After landing Pogba and Di María, the addition of Bremer is another emotional boost - and better still will be the feeling of snatching him away from Inter’s grasp...
