Juventus are hopeful they can reach an agreement for Paul Pogba to return to the club this week, according to Sky Italia.

Club chiefs will meet Rafaela Pimenta, Pogba’s representative, on Thursday to discuss the 29-year-old’s contract, which is going to be a four-year deal or three-year deal with the option of an extra year.

The World Cup winner is expected to arrive in Turin between July 5 and 8 to undergo a medical and sign with the Serie A giants for a second time.

First spell at Juventus

Pogba’s first spell at Juventus was a successful one. Playing in a midfield alongside Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal, the Frenchman was instrumental in winning four Serie A titles in a row as well as two Coppa Italias for the club.

He was at Juve from 2012 to 2016, before he returned to Old Trafford in a transfer worth over €100 million. He now looks set to make that journey from Manchester to Turin again.

Juve target Di María

Juventus have offered free agent Ángel Di María a one-year deal, with the option for a further year. The Argentine is believed to prefer a move to Barcelona or Benfica but Juve are the ones ready to commit.
