Koundé has Barcelona medical
The French central defender appeared with a new look for his medical and once green light given, Barça will officially present their new signing.
Around 9:00 am local time, Jules Koundé began his formal medical check-up with FC Barcelona. The Frenchman, arriving with a new look for his new adventure, and the Catalan club are waiting for the doctor’s approval of his physical condition to be confirmed in order to announce his contract for the next five seasons.

The date and time for his presentation as a Barça player will then be provided. It is expected to be on Monday, four days before the massive presentation ceremony with Robert Lewandowski.
Koundé, who will sign for five seasons and will have a million-dollar release clause, will wait for the rest of the team to arrive from the United States tour before he joins the group. Ahead of that he will train alone at the Ciutat Esportiva because the season is only two weeks away and the Frenchman needs to get ready after days in which he has been away from the sessions of previous club Sevilla, as they got involved in friendly matches.
Speaking in New York, club president Joan Laporta was asked about the new man.
“Very happy. It is one more demonstration that players want to come even if they’re paid less. Xavi deserves this effort. We are making a team. When a player wants to come to Barça, that helps a lot in the negotiations.”
