Jules Koundé unlikely to be registered for Barcelona-Rayo Vallecano

Barcelona are ready to register up to six of their seven new players. Jules Koundé is unlikely to be registered for the clash with Rayo Vallecano.

Barcelona are making a last-minute effort to be able to register as many players as possible in LaLiga so that Xavi can have most of his squad available against Rayo Vallecano on Saturday. Right now, and after activating the fourth lever, which has generated additional income of 100 million euros, Barcelona are convinced that they will be able to register at least six of the seven new players.

The club’s new additions are expected to be available to feature against Rayo. Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Andreas Christensen and Franck Kessié should be available.

Koundé out

But there will be a notable absence, although the club has not yet thrown in the towel completely. Defender Jules Koundé is having a hard time getting his registration across the line. At Barcelona, they argue that the defender was the last to arrive and that the rest of the players start with a slight advantage, in addition to the fact that the former Sevilla player is just out of an operation on his pubis, which prevents him from being still 100% fit.

Likewise, the confirmation of the registrations would open the doors to Chelsea left-back Marcos Alonso, who could be presented at the beginning of next week and even make his debut on Sunday against Real Sociedad in Anoeta.
