ON Coulibaly
Coulibaly is going to replace Mavinga in the heart of the defence. The defender is limping off injured.
Now LA Galaxy defender Mavinga is down for what appears to be a muscular issue. It could be his hamstring as I'm looking back at it and he starts to hobble off the ball and then goes down to get treatment.
Play has stopped as Long goes down after a challenge from Chicharito. It's an accidental clash.

LA Galaxy vs LAFC
The Galaxy have had their worst start to a campaign since 1997, when they also started the season with three points from six matches.
The club ended 2022 on a 5-1-5 run and entered the playoffs as the 4th seed in the Western Conference before being knocked out by LAFC.

Vela out to break El Tráfico scoring record
LAFC will look to Carlos Vela to help them end their barren run at the Galaxy.
The former Mexico international will also be out to break Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s record goal haul in El Tráfico.
Vela is currently level with the former Galaxy striker on eight goals in the fixture, so he will overtake the Swede if he finds the target today.
LA Galaxy under pressure
LA Galaxy have yet to record a win in their opening six games of the 2023 MLS season and languish in the penultimate position of the Western Conference having just secured three points all season.
To add to the misery at the club, Galaxy fans are protesting and carrying out a series of boycotts as they call for the resignation of president Chris Klein.
Members of the LA Riot Squad, Angel City Brigade, Galaxy Outlawz, Galaxians and Ghost Ultras Galaxy have protested outside the stadium at home games voicing their anger with concerns over a lack of ambition and demanding the departure of Klein, who took over in 2013.

LAFC’s poor regular-season record at Galaxy
As Greg Vanney’s men bid to pick up their first victory of the campaign, they will look to make the most of their home advantage - and history suggests they can.
Dignity Health Sports Park has not been a happy hunting ground for LAFC since they joined MLS in 2018; indeed, the Black and Gold are yet to claim a regular-season win on the road against the Galaxy.
In seven games away to the five-time MLS champions in the regular season, LAFC have drawn two and lost five. What’s more, the Galaxy have tended to score plenty of goals at home to their near neighbours: they have hit the net at least twice in five of those seven encounters.

First match between the sides
The first match between the two sides was only LAFC's third ever regular season game.
It was played on 31 March 2018, at the StubHub Center. Despite LAFC leading 3–0, with just 30 minutes remaining, the match ended in a 4–3 victory for the Galaxy.
Substitute Zlatan Ibrahimović, who was making his debut for the club, came on to score a brace and earn his side bragging rights.
Why 'El Tráfico'?
The name to describe the derby is El Tráfico. El Tráfico refers to the notorious traffic congestion in Los Angeles, in the United States - while also serving as a pun on El Clásico - the famous Spanish derby between Barcelona and Real Madrid.
