LAFC, only unbeaten team in current MLS season
The current MLS Cup champions remain undefeated in MLS after 9 matchdays with the Gold and Black having played eight and yet to lose.
LAFC salvaged an away point last weekend against Nashville SC at Geodis Park and the ‘black and gold’, aided by the goals of Gabonese forward, Dénis Bouanga, who scored the equalizer remain as the only undefeated team during the current MLS season.

Steve Cherundolo’s men trailed to Nashville SC after Hany Mukhtar put the home side ahead but, once again Bouanga found the net just before the hour mark to bring the game back on terms with the game ending 1-1.
Striker Bouanga’s twelve goals this season (along with four assists) have been instrumental in the strong start the LA franchise are enjoying.
Repeat of 2022 MLS Cup final
It’s been an excellent start to the 2023 campaign for Cherundolo’s team, not only are his team undefeated in MLS, they also broke their negative record in El Trafico away to LA Galaxy as they secured a historic 2-3 win at the Dignity Health Sports Park. The Los Angeles team are also in the semifinals of the Concacaf Champions League where they play Philadelphia Union over two legs.
Having played eight games compared to the nine that the rest of MLS sides have played, the Los Angeles side are third position in the Western Conference with 18 points in the 8 games they have played; 5 wins, 3 draws and 0 losses.
