LAFC set to land Omar Campos from Santos Laguna
LAFC have reached an agreement to sign Mexican left-back Omar Campos.
Omar Campos is set to join LAFC from Santos Laguna, according to sources close to AS USA. Campos, who was one of the targets of Mexican champions Club América, is set to arrive for a fee in the region of $5 million and could be presented in the Californian city between Thursday and Friday of this week.
With the addition of the 21-year-old, LAFC will cover for the loss of Diego Palacios, who left the MLS runner-ups to join Brazilian side Corinthians.
Who is Omar Campos?
Campos is considered to be one of the most promising young full-backs in Mexican soccer and he has represented his country at senior level, earning one cap to date. He came through the youth setup at Mexican side Santos and is now preparing for his first venture abroad.
