Leo Messi models Argentina retro collection
The Argentina and Inter Miami captain posed in the remake of the famous iconic 1994 World Cup jersey.
Just as the Argentine national team prepares ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil, Albiceleste fans have been excited with the news that sportswear giants Adidas are set to release a retro collection featuring a hooded top, t-shirt and track pants with a throwback feel but the creme of the collection undoubtedly being a remake of the famous blue away shirt that was sported by Argentina at the 1994 USA World Cup.
The shirt was famously worn by the South American side in their Group D opener against Greece in Foxborough with Diego Maradona bagging his last ever international goal with his iconic glare to camera celebration in the blue jersey. Maradona would later test positive for a banned substance in the next game (against Nigeria) and his career with the Albiceleste was brought to an abrupt end.
The soon to be released shirt is also accompanied by a 90′s inspired track top which was also modelled by the Inter Miami star.
Adidas also launched a casual retro Argentina range that features a grey t-shirt, track pants and zip up top.
