Robert Lewandowski joins Barcelona as they are looking to get back to the top team they used to be, and he says he’s there to help win them titles again.

Robert Lewandowski has officially joined Barcelona, and he’s made his intentions with the team very clear. The Polish striker arrived in Miami to join Barca on its US tour and spoke to the media to state his motives with the team.

“I know that for Barca now, it’s time to get back on track,” said Lewandowski. “That’s why I’m here, to help Barcelona be on top and to win as many titles as possible.”

Barcelona will pay around 45 million euros, plus five million more in variables in order to sign Lewandowski to a three-year contract. The 34-year-old said that his ideas and Barcelona coach Xavi’s ideas just fit together, and that it was not a tough choice for him.

“I want to play and win titles and I know that with Xavi this will be very possible,” said the former Bayern Munich star. “He knows perfectly how to lead Barca. He was an incredible player and now he is a great coach. He has a great future and I want to be part of it.”
