The Liga MX Apertura 2022 winner will be decided by next week’s final games as Pachuca and Toluca go head-to-head. ‘Los Tuzos’ from Pachuca were beaten finalists in the 2022 Clausura falling to Atlas but will be looking for the chance to win their seventh Liga MX title as Toluca look to end 12-year drought without winning a league title.

The road to the final
Pachuca reached this stage by defeating Monterrey in the semi-finals and Tigres in the quarter-finals, while Toluca’s Diablos Rojos did the same by beating Bravos de Juarez in the playoffs, Santos Laguna in the quarter-finals and highly fancied Club América in the semi-finals and both sides will meet clash for the first time in the history of the new Mexican football format.
