Liga MX 4-4 MLS
Cruz Azul and Tigres were the final two teams to complete the quarter-final line-up of the 2025 CONCACAF Champions Cup.

The CONCACAF Champions Cup continues the countdown towards the June 1 final with just eight teams remaining in contention after this week’s Round of 16 second legs.
Only MLS and Liga MX sides remain in the competition after Jamaica’s Cavalier and Costa Rican duo Alajuelense and Herediano fell at this hurdle.

The significant surprise from this phase was the elimination of star-studded Rayados with the side from Monterrey (along with Chivas) the only Mexican sides eliminated to date with Vancouver beating Sergio Ramos and company on away goals, a system which is still employed in CONCACAF.

Looking ahead to the final eight
One of the standout ties in the next phase is the ‘Clasico Joven’ as America face Cruz Azul. The all MLS meeting between Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami and LAFC will also generate plenty of media attention as Inter Miami look for their first ever continental silverware.
Precise kick-off times have yet to be established but the first leg of the quarterfinals is earmarked for April 1 with the second legs due to go ahead a week later.
