Lionel Messi’s poor numbers in direct elimination games at the UEFA Champions League
Lionel Messi suffered yet another elimination in the UEFA Champions League after PSG lost to Bayern Munich in a 3-0 aggregate.
PSG once again won’t be winning the Champions League this year. The Parisian team lost to Bayern Munich by a 3-0 aggregate score, leaving them no chance of winning the European trophy. The QSI-owned team has spent more than one billion dollars in a decade trying to win the tournament, and it keeps coming short year after year.
The French team believed that signing the Argentinian superstar would get them much closer to winning the Champions. But the addition of the ex-Barcelona guy has had the opposite effect. PSG reached the final and semifinal of the tournament the years before the World Cup winner arrived in Paris. Since setting sail in the French capital, PSG was knocked out of the competition in the round of 16, the last two years. The truth is that Leo has horrible numbers in direct elimination games in the Champions league.
