Although he has not yet been officially announced as PSG’s new coach, Luis Enrique has already begun to take his first steps in Paris, the city where he will live for the next two seasons.

The Asturian tactician has been appointed by PSG as the successor to Christophe Galtier and it is only the Marseille man’s compensation deal that stands in the way of the former Spain coach’s official arrival.

According to Le Parisien, Luis Enrique spent the last 48 hours in Paris. He visited, among other things, PSG’s new training centre, which is located in Poissy, Yvelines.

Lucas Hernández on the way to PSG

Defender Lucas Hernández is set to join PSG from German giants Bayern Munich and will strengthen the backline at Parc des Princes.

PSG, for the moment, do not intend to make the appointment of Luis Enrique official until the agreement with Galtier is complete. The coach of the Ligue 1 champions was due to finish his contract on 30 June 2024 and will receive €6m in compensation. Until then, Luis Enrique will have to work in the shadows and design a team whose main objective will undoubtedly be to win the Champions League, a competition he won with Barcelona in 2015.
