Lyon make approach for USMNT forward Christian Pulisic
Lyon’s owners are interested in signing the US international, who will be looking to play regular first-team football.
Lyon’s American owners have contacted Chelsea and USMNT forward Christian Pulisic, according to French outlet L’Équipe on Saturday.
Pulisic, who has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer, is reportedly a target of John Textor’s Eagle Football group.
The 24-year-old forward had a poor campaign in 2022-23 and may not be part of Mauricio Pochettino’s plans going forward as Chelsea continue to sign forward players, including Christopher Nkunku.
Nicolas Jackson of Villarreal is also now set to be officially unveiled, with the 22-year-old ready to leave the Yellow Submarine in a deal worth a reported €37m.
Last season, Pulisic only played 1,012 minutes in thirty appearances across all competitions for the West London club.
Lyon’s owners at Eagle Football are interested in signing the US international, who will ideally be looking to play regular first-team football as he soon enters his prime years.
Italian interest
Italian sides Juventus, Milan and Serie A champions Napoli have also been linked with a move for the left-footed attacker.
