Lyon submit bid for AC Milan target Christian Pulisic
European clubs are keen on signing USMNT forward Christian Pulisic from Chelsea this summer.
USMNT forward Christian Pulisic looks set to leave Chelsea and has interest from France and Italy. AC Milan have started negotiations for Pulisic, who is reportedly keen on a move to San Siro.
Milan are willing to pay a fee in the region of €15 million for the 24-year-old, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, however, Chelsea believe that the former Borussia Dortmund player is worth at least €20 million. Despite the differences between the parties, they are set to continue working to find an agreement over the coming days.
Pulisic to accept lower salary
Pulisic is willing to lower his wage to move to the Serie A outfit. He currently earns €4 million per season at Stamford Bridge and Milan would pay a lower salary if they are to complete the signing of the US international.
The 24-year-old forward had a disappointing campaign last season and with Chelsea signing forwards Christopher Nkunku and Senegal forward Nicolas Jackson, he has less and less of a role at the club.
Lyon submit bid for Pulisic
In France, L’Équipe have confirmed initial reporting from The Athletic that Ligue 1 side Lyon have submitted a bid for Pulisic. Lyon will face competition from Milan to sign the player, who is looking to select his next move carefully.
Chelsea stats
Last season, Pulisic only played 1,012 minutes in thirty appearances across all competitions for Chelsea. In 145 appearances for the Premier League club, he has scored 26 goals and registered 21 assists.
