Chance! City
That could have been the opening! A deep cross finds Nathan Ake at the back post but his diving effort is tipped over by Bono.
He might feel that he should have done better there.

Sevilla are preparing a couple of late changes. Two forwards are coming on as Mendilibar eyes the penalty shoot out.
Who has the better penalty shoot out record? Well Sevilla are seasoned pros in Europe and actually won last season's Europa League with a penalty shoot out win over Roma in the final.
City, meanwhile, have lost their last two penalty shoot outs. Most recently, they lost to Arsenal in the Community Shield.
Five minutes of the allotted 90 remaining, all square. You'd imagine that Sevilla would be happy with penalties, while City will want to finish this in normal time.
City finally make their first change of the evening.
Julian Alvarez comes on for Cole Palmer, who has been City's best player in the second half.
Gonzalo Montiel is coming on for Sevilla stalwart Jesus Navas.
City will wait for their sub.
A quality delivery from Jesus Navas looks destined for the head of Ocampos, who can't quite connect with the ball.
As we enter the final ten minutes, a quick reminder that we'll be going straight to a penalty shoot out if the scores are level at full time.
It's real backs-to-the-wall stuff for Sevilla now with everyone back in their defensive third.

Juanlu comes on for Sevilla, replacing Oliver Torres.
First change of the game.
Brilliant skill from Palmer to skip clear of Acuna on the City right. He is eventually crowded out by Sevilla defenders, but Palmer looks the most likely City player to win the game here.
A long goal kick from Bono gets us back underway in the UEFA Super Cup.
Worth noting that if this game is still level at the end of the 90 minutes, we'll be going straight to penalties.
With 20 minutes to go, that'll be another drinks break.
Close! Cole Palmer
Fine work from the youngster allows him to win the ball back on the edge of the box and he faints past a desperate lunge from Acuna. He looks to curl the ball into the far corner but Bono is equal to his effort.
City seem to have gained fresh impetus since the goal and are once again pinning Sevilla back in their own box.
The Sky Blue section of the Karaiskakis Stadium is in good voice now.
Chance! Man City
Phil Foden nearly skips through the Sevilla defence but is stopped at the last moment. The loose ball lands at the feet of Rodri, who swipes at the ball but it is deflected out for a corner.
For all of City's possession, their equalising goal came courtesy of a cross into the box and a good header. Is that the way around this resolute Sevilla defence? It's the only thing that's worked so far.
Sevilla prepare their first sub.
Close! Sevilla
Another chance for En-Nesyri! He is able to run off the back of Ake and is in for a one-on-one.
Ederson is out sharply to make the save but that will be a worry for City, so soon after scoring
GOOOOOAAAAL! Cole Palmer
And just like that, City are level!
It's a deep cross into the box from Rodri that picks out Palmer at the back post and he guides a brilliant header back across the goal and into the Sevilla net.
All square.
Erling Haaland has barely been invoved in the opening hour and City look to be missing De Bruyne.
Sevilla have looked the better side since the break, attacking with more purpose and poses a greater threat. City are struggling to make any impression going forward.
Guardiola is readying his first substitutes.
A sharp pass from Haaland sends Grealish sprinting forward into space on the left. City work the ball around the edge of the box but Sevilla intercept and are back on the attack.
The ball is played forward towards En-Nesyri, lurking in the box, but Walker gets back in time to clear the danger.
It's a little more end-to-end than we had expected, with both teams fashioning half chances in quick succession.
The ball is worked wide to Ocampos for Sevilla who looks to curl the ball to the back post. It's a good delivery, but there's no one there to meet it.
Close! Sevilla
From a tight angle Jordan takes on the shot and looks to beat Ederson with a swerving effort. The City stopper is equal to it but it was a decent effort from a tough angle.
More direct running from Ocampos draws a foul from Rodri. Sevilla have a free kick from the left of the box and an opportunity to deliver.
City will continue to push forward but it does look like Sevilla will find spaces on the counter.
Sevilla come forward again with En-Nesyri, who fires wide from a tight angle. Another promising foray forward for Sevilla.
Chance! Sevilla
Nearly a second for Sevilla as Ocampos comes flying forward down the left on a counter-attack. He squares the ball for En-Nesyri, who is one-on-one with Ederson.
He should score, but is scuffed effort is stopped by the City stopper.
The game has settled down into a familiar rhythm now, with Sevilla camped on the edge of their own box. City were buidling some momentum at the end of the first half, can they regain that impetus now?

So, what have we learnt from that opening 45 minutes?
For a start, it is very hot in the Karaiskakis Stadium tonight. It's slowed the pace of the game and has made it difficult for City to maintain their normal high tempo.
Defensively, Sevilla look very resolute in the central areas and they look happy to defend on the edge of the box. Navas is giving Grealish space on the left, and backing his defenders to deal with the cross when it comes.
Kovacic has impressed for City with his energy between the lines. But with Sevilla dropping further back his space to burst forward is limited.
Sevilla looking good at half time
They had very little of the ball in the Manchester City box, but Sevilla can claim to have had the best piece of play in the opening 45 and take a one-goal lead into the break. It was an incisive move down the left wing that led to their goal, a pin-point header from Youssef En-Nesyri.

Peep peeeep peeeeep
And that's it for the first half. Sevilla have a shock lead at the break, what can City muster in the second half?
Sevilla look to see out the remaining few seconds by booting it up field. That should do it for the Europa League winners.
Close! Manchester CIty
That could have been the chance!

A half chance for City as Rodri twists and turns on the edge of the box but isn't quite able to find an angle for the shot. Resolute defending once again.
Three minutes
The fourth official announces a minimum of three minutes' added time.
Kovacic advances and looks to play a neat one-two with Haaland on the edge of the Sevilla box. There's too many bodies in there and the move breaks down.
Foden delivers from wide and the ball falls to Akanji in the box. The Dutchman lets fly from close range but Sevilla manage to block his volleyed effort and volley the ball away from danger.
Not long until the break now.
City are piling on the pressure now as the half time break approaches but there is no space for Guardiola's team in the central areas.
They work it wide and Jack Grealish is hacked down by Ocampos near the touchline. Free kick for City on the left flank.
Opting against a shot, Grealish takes the free kick and looks to loft the ball towards Ake at the far post.
Bono is off his line sharply to punch clear.
Brilliant first touch from Foden keeps the ball alive in the Sevilla penalty box. He passes to Rodri and the Spaniard is felled on the edge of the box.
Free kick in a dangerous place for City, right of centre on the edge.
Nearly an opening for Grealish there!
Gvardiol fires the ball into Kovacic on the edge of the box and the Croatian midfielder looks to flick the ball through. Grealish isn't quite aware to the intention and Sevilla get a foot in the way.
Manchester City whip in a corner towards the head of Rodri. He wins the header but his deflected effort goes over the crossbar for another corner.
Foden takes the subsequent corner and Sevilla clear easily.
With ten minutes to go in the first half, Manchester City have managed to produce relatively little from their 67% share of the possession. Sevilla will be very happy with their performance, and delighted to find themselves ahead.
The Englishman's effort is blocked by Nemanja Gudelj, who is knocked to his feet.
We'll have a break in play now as the dazed midfielder is checked out by the medical staff.
Good distance for a strike here, if a little central. It looks like Foden will strike it.
Loic Balde (Sevilla)
Erling Haaland ghosts in behind the Sevilla backline and he is hauled down by Balde. Free kick to City, booking for Balde.
Chance! Sevilla
Brilliant run down the right from the ageless Jesus Navas, who pulls the ball back to the onrushing Eric Lamela. He takes the strike on first time but it flies wide of the goal.
There is space on the flanks for Sevilla if they are able to exploit it.
Sevilla advance once again with Jesus Navas. He crosses the ball for En-Nesyri but the goal scorer can't connect this time around.
Boos from the Sevilla fans as City pass the ball around on the edge of the box.
It ends up with Gvardiol on the left, who swings the ball in towards Haaland. The Croatian's cross is overhit and Sevilla win a throw in on the far side.

The ball is worked to Jack Grealish on the left and he cuts inside onto his left foot to shoot at goal. His driven effort is tipped wide and City win the corner.
Rodri is the target but Sevilla get it clear.
Sevilla are determined to play a fairly high line where possible to avoid allowing City to push up the pitch. It's working so far but there have been openings for Erling Haaland in behind.
Let's see how that develops...
A loose pass from Rodri on the edge of the Sevilla box allows the Spanish side to regain possession.
Sevilla fans are in great voice in the Karaiskakis Stadium are making themselves heard despite being outnumbered by the City support.
Confirmation that there will be drinks breaks midway through both halves of football, owing to the extremely warm conditions in Greece. Let's see if the heat affects the pace of the game.
Sevilla goalkeeper Bono awkwardly punches a cross from the right, only as far of Gvardiol in the left back position. The new City signing lets fly from 35 yards but his effort goes harmlessly over the crossbar.
Ten minutes in and that header for Ake is the only real chance so far. City have had the most of the possession but Sevilla have kept them at bay, largely.
Sevilla look confident playing out from the back and are not being overawed by their more illustrious opponents. With the experience of Navas and Rakitic to call upon, Sevilla will look to put their foot on the ball and slow the game down in possession.
Close! Man City
A City corner is played short and Palmer curls in a delicate cross. Nathan Ake meets the ball at the back post but his header is pushed wide by Bono.
Good opportunity, that. Could have done better.

Manchester City start on the front foot and will look to dominate the ball throughout tonight's game. It looks like City are sticking with their inverted full back ploy, Manuel Akanji moving into the midfield to partner Rodri.

Pep Guardiola questions his Jesus Navas decision
