Christian Pulisic suffered a serious knee injury at the beginning of the year that prevented him from possibly leaving Chelsea during the winter transfer window. The United States international is ready to part ways with the Premier League side in search of more minutes and earn a more prominent role elsewhere.

Several clubs are keen on signing the 24-year-old in the summer and Chelsea want to take advantage of the situation. The Premier League side has an overload of attacking players because since Todd Boehly took over the club they have spent over €150 million to improve the team’s options in the final third.

A bidding war could start for Pulisic

It has been reported that Manchester United has rekindled the interest in signing the USMNT ace during the upcoming transfer window and Chelsea has put a €37 million asking price on him. In order for the Red Devils to make an offer for Pulisic, they need to sell some players to raise funds and start negotiating with the team owned by Todd Boehly.

According to the Daily Express, Manchester United will be parting ways with Brandon WIlliams, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Anthony Martial, Victor Lindelof and Teden Mengi next season. This will bring in money to the club and start signing players to improve the roster for Erick ten Hag next campaign.

Another option for Chelsea to offload Christian Pulisic in the summer is to offer the American in a swap deal to Napoli for Victor Osimhen. The Blues lack a No. 9 player and they believed that the Nigerian striker is the missing piece in the final third. Osimhen has scored 21 goals in 23 Serie A appearances for Napoli so far this season.
