Mauro Icardi is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2024, but has been told to look elsewhere for minutes this campaign. The 29-year-old has not played a game with the Ligue 1 side so far this season and was even left out of the UEFA Champions League roster.

Icardi could play in MLS

The Argentina international has been linked with a move to Galatasaray because the transfer window closes on 8 September in the Turkish league. Icardi is also rumored to be considering an offer from Major League Soccer side Inter Miami, but he will not be able to join as a designated player as the three slots are occupied.

Icardi doesn’t have too many offers on the table and needs to make a decision soon. Last season the 29-year-old made 30 appearances across all competitions with PSG, scoring five goals in a total of 1,207 minutes.

In order for the deal to come through with Inter Miami, Icardi will have to end his contract with the Ligue 1 side and become a free agent. The David Beckham-owned team has six games left in the regular season and are trying to secure a spot in the 2022 MLS Cup playoffs.
