Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has privately acknowledged that striker Kylian Mbappé is set to sign for Real Madrid this summer.
Mbappé's Madrid move a done deal, PSG chief says
AS has learned that Al-Khelaïfi told close colleagues in a meeting in Doha, Qatar, this weekend that Mbappé “has completed a deal” to join Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Last week, it emerged that Mbappé had informed Al-Khelaïfi of his intention to leave PSG when his contract expires at the end of June, bringing an end to a seven-year spell at the Parc des Princes.

Madrid out to avoid repeat of 2022 Mbappé fiasco
Given that Madrid and PSG could still meet in this season’s Champions League - both clubs are well placed to progress from the last 16 - Los Blancos have approached their pursuit of a summer Mbappé deal with caution.
Madrid have been reluctant to create an uncomfortable situation should the two clubs be drawn together in a later round of Europe’s top men’s club competition. In particular, the Spaniards are mindful of how awkward such a clash could be for Mbappé given the belligerent nature of the radical members of PSG’s fanbase.
At the same time, however, Madrid have been determined not to wait until the end of the season to tie up an agreement for Mbappé, as the 14-time European champions do not want a repeat of the France international’s late U-turn in May 2022.
The 25-year-old had appeared set to move to the Bernabéu as a free agent two years ago, but turned down Madrid’s contract offer at the 11th hour, instead opting to sign lucrative new terms at PSG.
Mbappé to pen long-term Real Madrid contract
With a deal seemingly in place for Mbappé, it now looks to be a matter of time before the player’s transfer to Madrid is confirmed. The World Cup winner, who has scored 244 goals in 291 appearances for PSG, is expected to sign for the Spanish league leaders on a contract running for at least five years.
Mbappé is poised to join a Real Madrid attack that already includes young stars such as Vinícius Júnior, Jude Bellingham, Brahim Díaz and Rodrygo Goes.
What’s more, Los Merengues are also preparing to boost their forward line with the summer arrival of Brazilian teenager Endrick Felipe, who is to complete a move from Palmeiras after he turns 18 in July.
